That is very interesting, and should be pointed out more often. One thing that has bothered me for about 20 years now is how horror films portray naked/dead/hurt girls, thus linking violence and sex together. I don't watch these films anymore, but I would be surprised if things have changed.
Oh, I absolutely agree. Jackson Katz talks about that very thing in his Tough Guise video.
Oh, better yet. Look at Carol Clover's very smart examination of horror movies: Men, Women & Chain Saws. The title sounds glib but her treatment is very serious. I loved it. One of my favorite books on media criticism.
